Cardiac audit

Cardiac audit

Clinical lead for cardiac audit as a whole is Dr Dan McKenzie (consultant cardiologist). Dr McKenzie is also lead for the MINAP (Myocardial Ischaemia National Audit Project) at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Musgrove Park Hospital participates in four of the national cardiac audits - namely MINAP (Myocardial Ischaemia National Audit Project), BCIS (British Cardiac Intervention Society Audit), the national heart failure audit and arrhythmia management. There is a full-time cardiac audit nurse, Judith Medlen, who maintains these audits.

For the specific audits the clinical leads are Dr David Beacock (consultant cardiologist) for BCIS and Dr Mark Dayer (consultant cardiologist) for heart failure and arrhythmia management/ pacing.
