Our staff are important to us and we offer a number of incentives for new or returning registered nurses, as our commitment to your development:

  • We will pay the Nursing and Midwifery PIN payment of £125 for every new preceptee joining us this year.
  • All new preceptee nursing staff will  have a protected induction and extensive preceptorship programme supported by our Academy and The Clinical School
  • All new preceptees will have the opportunity to participate and lead their own service improvement project working with our Improvement Network
  • Access and support from our on-site Clinical School, in partnership with Plymouth University.
  • Opportunities to attend a wide variety of study days and training opportunities.
  • On-site hospital library with access to the latest journals and a team of professionals able to help your enquires or studies.
  • Opportunities to work with the senior nursing team.
  • You can participate in Safety Wednesdays, our real time collection of safety thermometer data alongside the senior nursing team with live whole hospital feedback and Clinical Thursdays, our themed focus days.
  • Tailored rotational packages offering a sound foundation before you choose any speciality focus.
  • A minimum two week supernumerary period as part of your induction for all staff, regardless of experience.
