200203 Lianne Test Drives New Model Jaguar For Childrens Day Surgery Unit (1)Young children at Musgrove Park Hospital’s day surgery unit have been handed the keys to a tiny model Jaguar F Pace so they can drive themselves into theatre. For those too young to reach the pedals, there is a remote control for parents.

The kit car, a kind donation from A-Plan Insurance, a Taunton based insurance firm, will be used by 3 – 7 year olds to make the trip to theatres a little less frightening. The car joins the existing fleet – a motorised red jeep – which is too large for younger children to drive.

Somerset patient, Lianne, 2 ½ years old, was the first to try out the new car and enjoyed the test drive.
