Come along to Musgrove’s annual members’ and governors’ meetings - 09 September 2016

People in Somerset are being invited to the annual members’ and governors’ meetings of the Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

The meetings take place on Thursday 22 September at Taunton Racecourse. The day will kick off at 11am with the annual governors’ meeting.

Then from 1pm there will be a range of exhibitions from departments across the hospital, including cancer services, infection control, safeguarding, maternity and League of Friends. There will also be a separate area where people can find out more about the hospital’s sign up to safety pledge.

The members’ meeting will start at 2pm and will include the hospital trust’s annual review, a presentation from chief executive Dr Sam Barrell, and an opportunity to ask questions.

Colin Drummond, Musgrove Park Hospital chairman, said he looked forward to welcoming people to the meetings.

“Musgrove exists to serve the people of Somerset,” he said.  “Being a foundation trust we want to involve our members as much as possible so the question time session will also give people the chance to tell us what they feel we are doing right, and what we could do better.

“We are also looking forward to showing our local community the great things we have done in the past year to improve patients’ care and experience.”

A free draw will take place at the meeting to win an open ticket for four people to attend a race day. This prize has been kindly donated by Taunton Racecourse.
