Your chance to find out what's happening at Musgrove Park Hospital - 23 September 2013

Musgrove Park Hospital will be holding its Council of Governors Annual Meeting and sixth Annual Members Meeting at Taunton Racecourse this week.

The Council of Governors Annual Meeting (formal Part A of the Annual Members Meeting) will be held from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on Thursday, 26th September. This meeting gives the hospital’s Governors an opportunity to come together and listen to members of the public and answer their questions.
The main Annual Members Meeting will be held straight afterwards and will be open to the public from 1.30pm for registration, refreshments and the chance to look around the health exhibition. The meeting will start at 3pm and will enable people to find out more about Musgrove Park Hospital. There will be presentations covering:
·         A review of the year
·         The challenge of A&E
·         Macmillan cancer talk on survivorship
·         Somerset end of life care
In addition to these presentations and speeches, the meeting will include a ‘question time’ slot, chaired by the BBC news reporter, Clinton Rogers.
Hospital chairman Rosalinde Wyke said: “These events are a real opportunity for our Governors, Members and the public to find out more about the work we are doing here at Musgrove Park Hospital and to ask any questions they might have about the care we deliver or the way the hospital is run.
“We want to provide the best care we possibly can to the community we serve and therefore I would encourage people to come along to these meetings.”
The next public Trust Board meeting will also be taking place at Lyngford House in Taunton on Wednesday, 25September from 9.00am – 12 noon.
