Award winning apprentice at Musgrove Park Hospital - 27 March 2013

Hannah Parker, a Radiology Department Clerical Apprentice at Musgrove Park Hospital has won two awards at the Somerset Apprenticeship Awards.

Hannah, whose apprenticeship is run through the Richard Huish Business School, was chosen from apprentices throughout the county and won the Intermediate Apprentice of the Year award and Apprentice Champion of the Year award.

She was nominated by colleagues at the Hospital, who said “Patients have written in to the hospital commending Hannah in particular for her kind and friendly manner helping patients relax through potentially difficult experiences.”

The winners were selected by the ‘Grow Somerset Talent’ partnership which seeks to acknowledge the achievements of exceptional apprentices who have made an outstanding contribution to the business of their employers and who have been outstanding students.

When Hannah received the award, she said “I was completely shocked when I won; I wasn’t expecting to win at all so it was a lovely surprise and to win both awards.”
