New Non-Executive Director Joins Musgrove Park Hospital - 22 April 2013

Musgrove Park Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Harrison as a new Non-Executive Director.Stephen Harrison And Rosalinde Wyke

Mr Harrison has, until recently, been Chairman of NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust cluster, responsible for bringing together three PCTs with a commissioning budget of £1.5 billion and a population of just under one million.

Mr Harrison has lived in Wookey for nearly 40 years and spent a large part of his career at Clarks Shoes in Street.

He has had significant experience as a senior consultant/ executive in a number of large international manufacturing, retailing and public service organisations.

He is a former Leader of Mendip District Council and in addition to his strong local authority experience has also gained over 10 year of experience as a Chairman within the NHS.

Mr Harrison has been a board member of Mendip YMCA for some time and recently became a trustee of an organisation attempting to provide stimulating day time activities for older people.

Musgrove’s Chairman, Rosalinde Wyke said: “Stephen will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to Musgrove and I am delighted to welcome him to the Board. “Stephen’s vast experience, both within the NHS and within a local authority setting will be hugely beneficial as we continue to build links with our local authority partners to provide a more holistic approach to healthcare. “I am very much looking forward to working with Stephen and I have no doubt he will prove to be a highly valued member of the Board.”
