Musgrove Park Hospital is a Foundation Trust. This means that we have a membership, made up of members of staff and members of the public, who help us make the crucial decisions about the future direction of the hospital.
Becoming a member is a really simple way of showing your support for your local hospital. It will enable you to receive regular communications about our work and will give you the chance to comment on our services on a regular basis.
Members elect a Council of Governors who represent them and have a responsibility to communicate with them. Governors on that council meet five times a year and appoint the Non-Executive Directors to the Trust Board. Governors agree the long term strategy of the Trust, approve the appointment of a Chief Executive and agree the terms and conditions for the Chair and Non-Executive Directors.
For more information, or to stand for election as a Governor, please email Carol Lydiate, PA to the Trust Secretary on email@example.com, or ring her on 01823 342511.
Members are organised into four public and one staff constituency.
