Young people asked: “could you be the future of Musgrove Park Hospital?” - 23 February 2017

Young people are being invited to find out about the careers in healthcare offered at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Clinicians and non-medical support workers are hosting an interactive careers event at Musgrove Park on Thursday 9 March, from 4.30 – 7.30pm.

The event is aimed at young people in school years 9 to 13, or those aged between 14-19.

Representatives from a wide variety of professions at the hospital will be on hand to talk about what they do and how young people can get started on the right career path. They range from nursing, physiotherapy and neurosciences, to occupational therapy, theatres and maternity – and many more.

There will also be information about non-clinical roles, such as recruitment, administration, the library and IT.

Information about the hospital’s successful apprenticeship scheme will also be available, and some of the apprentices will talk about their experiences of working at Musgrove Park Hospital.

To register an interest in attending the event, contact Dawn Peters from the hospital’s HR department, on 01823 342 687 or dawn.peters@tst.nhs.uk.
